Yuki Tsunoda failed to impress in his first qualifying session as a Red Bull driver on Saturday, with the Japanese only able to secure 14th on the grid for his home grand prix.
With all eyes on the 24-year-old in his first competitive session since his promotion from the junior Racing Bulls team, Tsunoda made a small mistake in the second corner, costing himself time that he could not recover over the rest of his 1-minute, 28.000-second lap.
