WBC bantamweight champion Junto Nakatani and his IBF counterpart Ryosuke Nishida will square off to unify their world championship belts on June 8 at Tokyo’s Ariake Colosseum, organizers said Friday.
Nakatani has verbally agreed with undisputed super bantamweight champion Naoya “Monster” Inoue to fight next year in what would be one of the most intriguing all-Japanese matchups in boxing history.
