A BMW driver was arrested at the scene
A woman was taken to hospital after being hit by a car at Aldi. Emergency services were called to Salop Street in Walton at around 9.35pm on Tuesday, April 8.
It followed a report of a crash which happened in the Aldi car park involving a silver BMW and a 47-year-old woman. The woman suffered a serious injury to her leg and has since been released from hospital.
The driver of the BMW, a 20-year-old man from Anfield, was arrested at the scene on suspicion of causing serious injury through dangerous driving. He has been take to a police station where he will be interviewed by officers.
An eyewitness said a cordon was in place near to the Iceland car park. Merseyside Police said officers have carried out examinations at the scene and anyone who witnessed the incident, or who has any dashcam footage which could help with inquiries, is asked to contact the police.
