Hope you all had a nice Easter, and didn’t eat too much chocolate.
I need to get a few things off my chest this week. I was recently on holiday and on one of the days, the gang and I went on a coach tour to see the sights.
We stopped for a comfort break, but the tour guide decided there were too many people that needed to go. Who gave him the right to decide that?
Everyone persuaded him that it was essential. I was one of the last people to use the bathroom, and the guide seemed very agitated.
To my surprise, he said, ‘Enough is enough,’ and unbeknownst to me, he left me in the bathroom. Luckily, my friends had waited outside for me, but the coach had left without us!
I saw a taxi, hailed it down, and having always wanted to say this, I said “follow that bus”. We managed to stop it, and get back on.

All the passengers applauded and were angry that he had left me and my friends. I received no apology, and the cheek of the tour guide – he wanted a tip at the end of the trip!
He got it, in the form of a complaint.
Back home, and while at the theatre the other night, sitting in front of me was a very attractive, tall lady in her thirties, accompanied by a very tall man.
They sat down, and you had no chance of seeing anything in front of them. The lady wore a head wrap, which added another foot to her height.
And to add insult to injury they both started eating individually wrapped sweets. Thank goodness there was a spare seat somewhere else, so I was able to move.
Are you ready for this one?
A lovely friend of mine said the other day “you look fabulous for your age, ten years younger. “There are no lines on your face at all.
“Do yourself a favour and keep that bit of weight on, it does help.” I walked away and about twenty minutes later realised what he had said – talk about a back-handed compliment.
Here’s an embarrassing one.
I had a clear-out of clothes and finished up with two bags of tops, so off I went to the clothes bank at Claire House Children’s Hospice.
It will be interesting to know if Claire House has a camera on site. If so, they will have seen me, scavenging through the bins with my legs dangling out, as I tried to retrieve one of the tops after a change of heart.
Lastly, for now at least, these vile videos on social media where people are being beaten up. Here’s a thought.
Instead of loads of people videoing it, why don’t you just try and help instead? There, I feel much better now, thanks for reading.
