Coronation Street viewers were baffled as they identified a missing character on tonight’s episode. Monday explored the fallout of a number of dramatic strands on the Cobbles.
Debbie Webster is struggling with her dementia diagnosis. The fictional family has suffered a double blow as Kevin Webster has also been diagnosed with testicular cancer.
Their brother, Carl Webster, has returned to Weathefield in the wake of the diagnoses. However, his presence has caused friction with Kevin’s wife, Abi, and viewers following the show on social media platform X suspect he is up to no good.
The episode ended as Carl urged Debbie to be open about her dementia diagnosis as she is currently keeping it a secret. Fans are convinced he will start to blackmail his sister now that he has private information on her.
Jenny said: “Will Carl now blackmail Debbie, the swine?” Owen said: “Oops – Carl who needs money will be public enemy number one at this rate if he starts on Debbie after seeing that hospital appointment”
Tracey posted: “So Carl knows Debbie’s secret, he’s gonna start gaslighting her to get money out of her.” Ryan commented: “Oh no! Carl knows about Debbie’s dementia.

Another strand followed Sarah Platt’s blossoming romance with Kit Green as the two characters look like they may be new love interests.
Daisy Midgeley’s exit storyline also continued to take shape as the character, played by Charlotte Jordan, vowed to take Rovers Return landlord, Jenny Bradley, down.
Amid all the dramatic storylines, viewers took to social media to share their confusion about the whereabouts of some fan favourite characters.
Maria and Gary Windass, played by Samia Longchambon and MIkey North, didn’t feature in tonight’s programme and fans took to Z to ask about their whereabouts.
Sarah commented: “Anyone know where Gary has gone ???”
