The dad of Daniel Pall said his son and his son’s girlfriend are missing

The dad of a missing 16-year-old boy has made a desperate appeal for his safe return. Daniel Pall and his girlfriend Isobel, were reported missing from their home in the Cardigan area of Ceredigion, west Wales on Monday, April 7.

The couple were last spotted together 48 hours ago at Forest of Dean in Gloucestershire, but it is thought they may now be in the Merseyside area.

Daniel, who currently lives with his mum in Ceredigion, was planning to move to Southport to live with his dad while he completes his A-Levels.

Daniel’s dad, Dave, said he had spoken to his son over Skype last Sunday, but there was “no indication” there was anything wrong. The 67-year-old told the ECHO: “I speak to him twice a week just to catch up and make sure everything’s alright.

“When I last spoke to him there was no indication of any stress on his face. It was just a normal conversation. I was supposed to pick him up on Thursday after school because he was meant to be spending Easter weekend here with me. But now he’s just gone.

“We’re very worried and we just want both of them home safe.”

Daniel and Isobel, who attend the same school in Ceredigion, have been together since last summer. But with plans for Daniel to move to Southport, Dave thinks the pair might have become “confused” about being separated.

Dave said: “Daniel is supposed to be coming up here [Southport] to go to sixth form and I didn’t think that was a problem for him because he didn’t mention anything to me.

“I think him and his girlfriend are confused as to how they’re going to see each other. But if he’d have come to me, we could have worked something out. She could’ve come here, they could’ve met half way. We would have worked something out.”

Describing Daniel as a “sensible boy”, Dave said: “I’ve brought him up well and he knows right from wrong. I think it’s just confusion with the love thing.

“They’re both schoolkids. They’re going to be starting their exams after the Easter break so it’s important that they come back and pick up their studies.”

When asked what message Dave would like Daniel to hear, Dave said: “I’d tell him to contact me as soon as possible and I will support his relationship and look after him and keep him safe. I just want him home.”

Isobel is described as 5ft 3 with blonde hair. She was last seen wearing a black parker style coat with fur edge, grey jogging bottoms, carrying a large black back pack.

Daniel is described as 6ft 1 with short dark brown hair, with shaved sides. He was last seen wearing dark blue jeans, black t-shirt, and a black collared coat, carrying a large camping back pack, which is black, red and grey.

Anyone with information on their whereabouts is asked to contact Cardigan, Crymych, and Newcastle Emlyn Police by calling 101 and quoting reference 141 of April 7. You can also email [email protected] or file a Missing Persons report here.
