Jack was on the receiving end of votes from many housemates

Coronation Street stars have shared their support for Jack Shepherd. The David Platt star is currently in the Celebrity Big Brother house alongside other famous faces.

Viewers found out in the latest episode of the TV show that Jack P. Shepherd, Mickey Rourke, and Sir Michael Fabricant are all facing eviction from the house, making one of them the first to leave.

On Thursday, April 10, Jack responded to news of his nomination by saying “I’m disappointed…no I’m not!” while laughing. The threat of Mickey being evicted was already known from earlier in the week when JoJo Siwa was tasked with giving a ‘killer nomination’.

Jack was on the receiving end of votes from many housemates, including singer Chesney Hawkes, past CBBC host Angellica Bell, drag artist Danny Beard, comedian Donna Preston, TOWIE star Ella Rae Wise, and actress Patsy Palmer.

Samia Longchambon has known Jack for a long time, with both being long-standing characters on Coronation Street. She took to Instagram to share a selfie of the two. The caption read: “Didn’t think I’d be posting this just yet but drop a vote for our @jackpshepherd88 to stay in the @bbuk house a bit longer please guys… We definitely haven’t seen the best of him yet!!”

Fans of the soap star were quick to share their support. Colson Smith, who co-hosts a podcast with Jack responded with a series of red heart emojis. One fan “couldn’t believe’ he is up for eviction and revealed he would be getting their votes.

Katy commented “He’s already had my 5 votes!” and Megan added “He shouldn’t be up. So disappointed – will be voting to save!!” Others agreed with a soap fan account writing “Save our Jack.”

Other messages were “Absolutely, congratulations on BB so far @jackpshepherd88” and “We’ve hardly seen anything of him! Can’t believe how many nominations he received.”

Tony Maudsley, who plays the role of George Shuttleworth on the Cobbles also shared a message of support to his social media platforms. He posted: “Time to get voting for our boy Jack!! He was never going to go in there and fight for air time. That’s just not him.

“But give him time and you’ll definitely get your money’s worth. He’s got a wicked sense of humour and a big big heart to go with it and he won’t pull any punches when the need arises.”

The 37 year old actor, who has portrayed David Platt in Corrie for 25 years, stepped into the CBB house during Monday’s launch night. In his introductory video tape, Jack reflected on his dramatic Corrie storylines, including “burying a body” and experiencing his on-screen wife’s death.

On X, formerly known as Twitter, fans of the show have shared their thoughts on Jack in the house. Mark wrote “I’m sorry but half of those nominations for jack were cop outs #bigbrother2025 #CBB.”

Rhys wrote: “Evict Jack. Like them or not, Mickey and Michael are great entertainment #CBB” and Niall posted “It’s a bit soon to be nominating but I don’t know how jack got the most votes #cbb #cbbuk #celebritybigbrotheruk #celebritybigbrother.”
