12 people have been charged with drug supply offences after a series of warrants were carried out at addresses across Liverpool, Chester, Staffordshire and North Wales.

On Thursday, April 3, more than 100 officers executed 12 warrants across these areas, with the majority of them being carried out in the Blacon suburb of Chester.

Officers from Chester Proactive Team were supported by teams from across Cheshire Police, North West Regional Organised Crime Unit and Staffordshire Police.

This follows an investigation into an Organised Crime Gang (OCG) believed to be operating in the Chester area, Cheshire Live reports. During the warrants, a total of 10 people were arrested on suspicion of conspiracy to supply a class A drug and were all charged by the following day (April 4).

Cheshire Police officers have now charged a further two people in relation to the investigation. Lewis Higgins, 35, of Caldecott Crescent, Whitchurch, and Peter Wiggins, 55, of Wordsworth Crescent, Chester, have now been charged with conspiracy to supply class A drugs.

They will both appear at Chester Crown Court on Friday, May 2, along with the 10 others previously charged.

The 10 other individuals that have all been charged with conspiracy to supply a class A drug are:

Scott Ward, 36, of Burton Road, Blacon

Lee Ward, 44, of Wordsworth Crescent, Blacon

Amy Allman, 29, of Wordsworth Crescent, Blacon

Katie Whitley, 42, of Wordsworth Crescent, Blacon

Ryan Crank, 32, of Wordsworth Crescent, Blacon

Shane Stokes, 43, of Wemyss Road, Blacon

Shane Bright, 29, of Palgrave Close, Blacon

Alexander Bell, 43, of Dee Park, Holt, North Wales

Karl Eyre, 45, of Beeby Way, Broughton
