Netanyahu vows ‘strong response’ to Hamas rockets as Israeli strikes on Gaza kill dozens

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu pledged a “strong response” to a rare wave of rockets fired by Hamas on Sunday as at least 44 people were killed by Israeli air strikes in Gaza. Dozens of Palestinians have been killed almost daily since Israel resumed its military offensive on the Palestinian enclave on March 18 after a two-month ceasefire broke down last month.
