Haitians protest surge in gang violence, demand authorities step down

In a massive show of their frustrations, Haitians took to the streets of Port-au-Prince on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 demanding authorities dismantle armed gangs. Protesters also demanded the resignation of the country’s transitional leaders as they brandished machetes and firearms.
