An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 5.1 struck Nagano Prefecture in central Japan on Friday, with no tsunami warning issued, according to the weather agency.
No major damage has been reported following the 8:19 p.m. quake that jolted northern and central parts of the prefecture, the local government said.
