Daley Thompson was the latest celebrity to be evicted from the ITV reality show as he said goodbye to his housemates on Friday. Before his exit, the former athlete decided to warn Ella Wise about two people in the house. Daley appeared on This Morning on Monday to cast his view on the remaining celebrities.

He spoke in detail about JoJo Siwa and Chris Hughes. Daley told This Morning: “It wasn’t so much a shock but to be in a room where everybody is desperate to get the oxygen and they want to be up front, first to speak, last to speak.”

He continued: “I pulled myself away from it and watched. It’s really interesting to see all the machinations because people mostly tell half truths.”

Talking about Chris and JoJo’s close relationship, he said: “They’re the professionals within the group which is why they do all the strange things.”

When asked whether their connection was genuine, he said: “I don’t know if it’s genuine – I think it works for both of them.” Their relationship was described as purely platonic, as Daley said: “Their energies genuinely match.”

In a recent episode of the ITV show, fans saw the celebrities dressed up as cats. But it was Chris and JoJo who took the role-play game slightly too far, and decided to urinate in the cat litter as a joke. The Big Brother voice spoke to the two housemates: “Just a reminder that you can use human toilets.”

Viewers were shocked by their actions, one wrote: “She did not actually wee in the cat litter – tell me that didn’t happen! Vile.” Another wrote: “It’s gross and uncalled for.”

During Daley’s last day in the Big Brother house, Ella asked the Olympic athlete for advice. He said: “I have got no advice for you except…I know it’s difficult if you are struggling to be heard, put your hand up.

“Because there’s some people that are really loud and there’s some people that do this professionally as a game.” He added: “There’s two people in here that do it all of the time. I think on the cameras, people will be interested in their relationship.”

In tonight’s episode, Chris Hughes breaks down after being accused of playing a game by his fellow housemates reports The Mirror. Crying to Big Brother in the diary room, Chris says: “I’m literally in here, I’m just living, I’m just being me. I had toxic stuff and I had bad energy, it just brings you down.”

Having spoken about his feelings about JoJo on the show, Chris said they are like “two peas in a pod”. He added: “If she left the house ever and I’d be stuck in here that would genuinely be crushed.

“I guess she’s like my person in here. When you walk into a party you don’t know anyone, there’s someone you want to see in the room that makes you want to feel at ease.

“It makes me feel happy, it makes me feel comfortable and it allows me to be me, it really brings out me, I like me, I like being me and I’ll always be me and it takes someone to get you. We’re like two peas in a pod.”
