President Donald Trump appearing to be clueless when asked if he’s been briefed on the four missing soldiers in Lithuania set a CNN panel discussion on fire after a longtime Republican strategist instead flipped the argument to center around former President Joe Biden. The feisty exchange unfolded Thursday on CNN’s “NewsNight” as Neera Tanden, a Biden administration domestic policy adviser, flagged “a serious problem” with the MAGA leader. “I think this is a deeply kind of disturbing thing on basic information, on some political issues, I totally understand,” Tanden said Thursday. “I can even understand, perhaps, plausible deniability about ‘Signal Gate,’ but I think on national security issues, like issues where soldiers are possibly lost, it is pretty inexcusable that he has not been briefed, and he can’t speak to it.”That’s when CNN conservative Scott Jennings jumped in to turn the tables on Tanden, a high-level official in both the Obama and Biden administrations, as he ripped into Biden.ALSO READ: ‘The Hard Reset’: Here’s how the U.S. is exporting terrorism around the world“What’s worse?” Jennings said as he turned his attention toward the Democrat. “A president not having all the information he needs to make a legitimate comment, so he holds back…or, I don’t know, willfully lying to the American people about the condition of the President of the United States, which went on for four years in this country…”“That is totally wrong! That is totally wrong! That is totally wrong,” Tanden fired back. But Jennings only doubled down, as he told Tanden he wouldn’t be “lectured by the people who lied to the American people about the condition of the president.”“Oh my God, oh my God!” Tanden said. “First of all, that’s outrageous! That’s outrageous.”The two political operatives continued to throw jabs at each other as Jennings plowed away with his line of attack, while Tanden insisted she “did not lie.”“I look forward to this discussion,” she told Jennings.Watch the clip below or at this link.
