U.S. Vice President J.D. Vance took some heat on Saturday as he attacked a right-wing writer on X.
It started when Florida’s Voice’s Eric Daugherty floated Vance for a 2028 bid to be the President.
“This guy’s messaging is flawless. Just listen. A reporter pressed him on how Americans should react to tariffs if they ‘raise prices’ – Vance flips it back perfectly,” Daugherty wrote.

A writer for the conservative Red State disagreed, saying, “Yeah, I wouldn’t call it a ‘masterclass.’ His answer doesn’t even address the reporter’s question about raising prices.”
“Instead, it’s the same emotional argument we always get on this topic which supposes it is somehow unfair to America for Americans to be able to buy what they want at market prices,” the writer added. “In Vance’s telling, the entire world revolves around a relatively few union manufacturing workers. The rest of America can pound sand as they subsidize those industries at the cost of their wages and buying power.”
Vance himself hit back, saying, “It is this braindead liberalism pretending to conservatism that saw the US go from the world’s manufacturing superpower to one in which the PRC makes nearly twice as much as we do.”
“And where, if the small island of Taiwan fell to an invasion, we’d be hurled into a Great Depression,” Vance added.
Many in the MAGA community made it known to Vance that this individual was on the right.
One conservative influencer, dubbed “@reeseonable,” replied with, “Lol @bonchieredstate is to the right of you.”
Another popular conservative, Amy Curtis, said, “Respectfully, Mr. Vice President, @bonchieredstate is not a liberal and is coming at this from the right.”
“And he raises a fair point. I like you and think you’re a good VP and spokesman for the United States, but this is a swing and a miss, sir,” she added.
Then there’s former GOP lawmaker Adam Kinzinger, who has consistently fought against Trump and Vance.
“JD has way too much time on his hands. Dude you’re VP. Congrats,” the conservative wrote. “Fighting on Twitter is below the office even if it’s not below you. Punch down makes you feel big. Please don’t re-re-re cancel my non existent security clearance tho.”
