‘Rarely seen anything so unpopular’ as this Trump obsession: CNN polling analyst

President Donald Trump’s obsession with annexing Greenland is wildly unpopular among not just Greenlanders but among Americans as well.CNN polling analyst Harry Enten this week broke down new polling showing that Trump’s pitch to incorporate Greenland into the United States was going over like a lead balloon among residents of the massive North Atlantic island, as just 6 percent of Greenlanders believe it’s a good idea, while 85 percent were opposed.For perspective, said Enten, a six percent favorability is higher than the percentage of people in most polls who believe that the moon landings were fake.ALSO READ: ‘Blinking red alarm’: Trump-fired official says U.S. is ‘barreling’ to billionaire ruleEnten also pointed to a Fox News poll conducted earlier this month showing that a full 70 percent of Americans were opposed to taking over Greenland, with just 26 percent in favor.”This is uniformly unpopular,” he told CNN’s Anderson Cooper. “Even only half of the Republicans support it.”Commenting further on this segment on his Twitter account on Friday, Enten emphasized that “I’ve rarely seen anything so unpopular.”Watch the video below or at this link.Just 6% of Greenlanders want to join the United States.
