Moment car rolls over after hitting bin outside shops
CCTV footage shows the moment a car overturns after colliding with a bin. Police and fire crews were called to Dover Road in Maghull at around 10.50am on Friday, March 28.
The video shows the car turning into Dover Road. As it turns, it appears to accelerate, colliding with the bin, overturning and landing on its side.
Two fire engines, police and an ambulance attended the incident. Both the driver and passenger were out of the car when emergency services arrived.
No other cars or people were involved in the crash, and there were no injuries, Mersey Fire confirmed. A cordon was put in place while emergency services cleared the scene.
A spokesperson for Mersey Fire and Rescue said: “Crews were called to a Road Traffic Collision (RTC) this morning on Dover Road, Maghull. Crews were alerted at 10.47am and on scene at 10.55am, with two fire engines and the search and rescue team in attendance.
“Crews arrived to find a vehicle on its side, with two occupants out of the vehicle on arrival, uninjured. Merseyside Police and North West Ambulance Service (NWAS) were also in attendance and gave the occupants precautionary checks.
“No other vehicles or people were involved, cordons were put in place and were being managed by Merseyside Police. Crews left the scene at 11.22am.”
