New Zealand could face twice as many extreme atmospheric rivers, NIWA says

New NIWA research has found that not only could the narrow bands of concentrated water vapour increase, but in the future rainfall from these ‘rivers in the sky’ is likely to make up a much bigger proportion of New Zealand’s total annual rainfall.
