Nigers junta leader Tiani sworn in as president for five-year transition period

Niger’s military junta leader Abdourahamane Tiani was sworn in as the country’s transitional president on Wednesday. A senior government official said Tiani will head the nation over a five-year “flexible” transition to constitutional rule.
