Chinese Premier Li Qiang said Wednesday he welcomes a visit to China by Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba “at a convenient time” and expressed willingness to travel to Japan for a trilateral summit with South Korea, a Japanese lawmaker said.
Hiroshi Moriyama, secretary general of the ruling Liberal Democratic Party, who met with Li at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing alongside his Komeito party counterpart, Makoto Nishida, told reporters after the talks that he believes China is “moving forward ” on lifting its ban on Japanese seafood imports.
