Suspect held on affray and possessing an offensive weapon allegations
A man was being held by police tonight after a violent outburst in a Formby restaurant. Police were called to Suay Pan Asian Restaurant, in School Lane, at around 7.35pm.
A Merseyside Police spokesman said: “We were called at 7.35pm to a report a male had become violent with staff. That male, aged in his 50s, has since been located and arrested on suspicion of affray and possession of an offensive weapon.” The spokesman added nobody was injured during the incident.
Suay Pan Asian Restaurant, which serves cuisine from China, Japan, Malaysia, Thailand and beyond, was approached by The ECHO for comment. However, a spokesman said: “As the police are currently dealing with the incident we are not in a position to comment at this time.”
