Coronation Street fans are convinced that Tina McIntyre is set for a surprising resurrection. The popular barmaid, portrayed by Michelle Keegan, first graced our screens in 2008 and quickly became a fan favourite. Tina was also involved in numerous major plotlines during her time on the famous street.
From unexpected affairs to enduring rivalries, Tina’s stint in Weatherfield was anything but dull. However, after five years on the iconic cobbles, Tina met her end in 2014 when she was pushed off a balcony. Although she initially survived the fall, she was subsequently beaten with a metal pole by Rob Donovan (Marc Baylis), leading to her death and Rob’s imprisonment.
Now, viewers are speculating about a potential ‘back from the dead’ twist for Tina, which would undoubtedly delight fans, reports Lancs Live. This week on the cobbles, Rob made a surprise return from Highfield Prison when his son Bobby Crawford (Jack Carroll) visited him to persuade him to donate a kidney to his sister Carla Connor (Alison King).

Adding fuel to the speculation, the soap has recently resurrected several deceased characters, typically as part of a hallucination. At the close of 2024, serial killer Richard Hillman (Brian Capron) reappeared as part of Gail Platt’s (Helen Worth) exit storyline.
Furthermore, it was recently confirmed that Harry Visinoni will return to the soap to reprise his role as Seb Franklin, who was killed off in 2021. His comeback episode will air next week. With Rob’s return to the soap and the recent trend of deceased characters making a comeback, fans speculate that Tina’s revival is imminent.
On a Coronation Street Facebook fan page, one enthusiast posed the idea: “Hear me out but what if Tina also comes back and returns from the dead? Richard returned for Gail, Seb is returning soon and so did Mason.”
Others shared similar sentiments, with one fan noting: “Also, it makes perfect timing with Rob back on the scene! ” Another suggested: “Carla could hallucinate her maybe? ” Meanwhile, someone else wrote: “Manifesting a Tina return!”
