The Liverpudlian reflected on the “adventure of a lifetime” after her exit
The Traitors fans were gutted as Minah Shannon was banished in tonight’s episode. The 29-year-old Scouser has been the standout star of the BBC show this series.
However, her time at the roundtable came to an end on Wednesday’s episode when she was betrayed by fellow Traitor, Charlotte Berman. Minah has taken to Instagram to issue a statement to reflect on the “adventure of a lifetime” after her exit was broadcast.
The Liverpudlian was a huge fan favourite and was “sorry” she couldn’t deliver the ending so many wanted from series three. However, she was thrilled she was able to be a part of the show and said connecting with so many people was the real prize from being on the show.
She said: “What an adventure of a lifetime. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU to everyone single person who has supported me during this game, and those we will continue to support me. Playing this game has been a dream come true and as much as I would have loved to win, winning all your hearts has ended up meaning more to me than what the money would have meant.
“I have never felt more seen, celebrated or accepted by so many amazing people, you don’t even understand what that means to a girl like me.
“Someone special once told me, in life you don’t always have to win to be a star, and every single one of you has reaffirmed that over the last few weeks. Thank you getting and enjoying my very many facial expressions.
“Sorry I couldn’t bring it home guys but WOW did I play with some brilliant players! Good luck to everyone remaining, I cannot wait to see how it all plays out.” Minah referenced a blunder at the roundtable when her name was misspelled as she signed off the post: “All my love, Meina.”
Viewers following the show on social media platform X were gutted after the fan favourite’s exit and called out a problem as they said it’s unfair how Charlotte is now going to reap the rewards from all of Minah’s hard work.
@carpediem said: “Charlotte just casually taking Minah’s hard earned winnings” Meg commented: “It feels so unfair that Charlotte could win based on Minah’s hard work !! Bloody infuriated.”
Katie posted: “MINAH NOOOOO! Played very well, my favourite player of the series. But sadly now Charlotte’s gonna take it all, when Minah thoroughly deserved it from the start.”
