A murder investigation has been launched after the body of a missing Hungarian woman, known as Mariann, was found in Greater Manchester. A 61-year-old man has been arrested on suspicion of murder and remains in custody being questioned by detectives. Mariann was last seen in Bolton on 14 December and was missing for nine days while extensive searches were carried out, including a number of public appeals by Greater Manchester police (GMP) in English and Hungarian. Specialist units were deployed to help find Mariann, who was aged about 55, spoke very little English, and had been categorised as “high-risk”. Though
