Sanfrecce Hiroshima Regina defeated INAC Kobe Leonessa 1-0 in Sunday’s final to win their second consecutive WE League Cup women’s football title in Japan.
Mami Ueno scored from a tight angle in the 33rd minute at National Stadium in front of 21,524 spectators, a record for the pro league, whose first two letters stand for “women’s empowerment.”
