Donald Trump is going back on his word and tricking his own supporters, a columnist argued Satruday.
Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank appeared on MSNBC over the weekend, after Trump’s own biographer was on to talk about what he sees as the president elect’s “aching thirst to monetize the presidency.”

After a question on whether the MAGA coalition will be able to hold it together until Trump takes office, Milbank walked through the last things Trump has walked back, including starting to downplay China tariff talk.”Now, he is siding with Elon Musk and says we can have some more visas for foreign workers. I don’t think any of us should be shocked to think Donald Trump didn’t keep his word,” he said. “But it sounds like he kind of pulled the wool over a lot of his supporters’ eyes.”He added, “So, no, I don’t think they will be able to hold together the unity. There will be this constant tension.”
