The UFC fighter talked about becoming a dad in a new podcast
Paddy ‘the Baddy’ Pimblett has revealed how he found out his wife was pregnant in an honest admission. The 29-year-old from Huyton is in training for his next fight after his victory in UFC 304 in July of this year.
Paddy and his wife Laura Gregory have been together since they were teenagers. He proposed to her while they were on holiday in Thailand three years ago.
The Huyton-born Mixed Martial Artist married Laura in a ceremony attended by the likes of fellow UFC star Molly McCann and singer Jamie Webster last year. They welcomed twin baby girls in April called Betsy and Margot Pimblett. Paddy talked about becoming a dad on a new podcast.

Paddy spoke to Ryan Hall on the latest instalment of his Chattin’ Pony podcast. Ryan, also known as StillRyan, has been creating content on a range of social channels for a number of years as part of his ‘Still Gang’ brand with an emphasis on positivity and is a close friend of Paddy.
In the episode, Ryan sent his congratulations to Paddy on becoming a new dad. Paddy admitted he had less time for video games now he’s busy being a parent.
He said: “I’ve been speaking about it to be honest, I need to get back on it. But, especially now with two kids, it’s hard to find the time. It’s hard work. It’s boss. It’s a new life, a completely different life, especially with two of them.”
Paddy claimed that he had a special feeling he and Laura would have two children. He said: “Before we knew we were having twins, I said we were going to have twins. I’ve always said we’ll have twins.”
When Ryan asked how it feels to know you’re becoming a dad, Paddy said he was “shocked”. Ryan asked if they were planning for kids and Paddy replied: “No, it happened two or three months after she’d come off the pill. We’d just got back from Greece last year. She did a pregnancy test, picked me up from boxing and threw the pregnancy test at me. And then as I say…” Ryan interrupted: “Your life changes in seconds.” Paddy agreed with this phrase.
