Alexis Mac Allister was spotted on holiday as he enjoyed some time off from Liverpool games. The Argentinian midfielder has been an ever present in Arne Slot’s team this season as they have climbed to the top of the Premier League and Champions League and it is likely he would have featured in nearly every game during the festive period.
However the World Cup winner picked up a ban after receiving his fifth yellow card of the season at Newcastle United earlier this month. Mac Allister was set to miss the Merseyside derby as a result but because the trip to Everton was postponed due to Storm Darragh, he was out for the Reds’ meeting with Fulham last Saturday instead.
The number 10 was also suspended for the most recent Champions League game at Girona after receiving too many bookings in that competition. This meant he had almost a week without any games to play, and it looks like he used this time to make a trip abroad.

Mac Allister’s girlfriend Ailen Cova revealed in a series of Instagram story posts yesterday that the couple had travelled to St. Moritz, a luxury alpine resort town in Switzerland. The 25 year-old footballer is in a happy relationship with Ailen, who has been spotted in the stands several times at Anfield for matches.
She shared several images of the stunning winter scenery and images of the couple wrapped up warm for the cold weather. Ailen later made an Instagram post showing herself against the backdrops of the Swiss Alps which received many likes and comments.
One said: “You are very beautiful.” Another said: “Divine.” A third person added: “What a beautiful place! Enjoy.” Mac Allister will be eligible to play again for the reds in their next game against Southampton in the League Cup quarter-final tomorrow.
