Curtis Jones and his partner, Saffie Khan, were flooded with support as they shared an emotional family first. It has been a big year for the happy couple as they welcomed their first child into the world.
Saffie announced the birth of their baby girl on October 15. In a joint Instagram post the couple said: “Giselle Delilah Jones, 13.10.24. You are our entire world.”
She has taken to Instagram today to give a heart-warming insight into their first Christmas together. She shared snaps from Christmas Day, alongside the caption: “first Christmas as a family”
The partners of Liverpool FC players took to the comments to shares messages of support after the update. Cindy Peroti, who is dating Ryan Gravenberch, shared a heart eye emoji. Cody Gakpo’s partner, Noa Van Der Bij, also shared a heart eyes emoji .
Jones will be hoping to continue his excellent form this season when the Reds take on Leicester City at Anfield. After Giselle was born, the 23-year-old scored a winning goal when Liverpool FC defeated Chelsea just days later.
He celebrated by sticking his thumb in his mouth, referencing the birth of his daughter. Back at home, Saffie was happily watching on with Giselle.
She shared a clip of Curtis’ goal and him celebrating on her Instagram story and said: “A goal for Giselle.” She also shared a picture of Curtis holding their daughter when he returned home from Anfield.
Giselle was wearing an LFC shirt. Saffie shared it with the caption: “She really is daddy’s lucky charm.” She also left a comment on Curtis’ Instagram post after the game, posting emojis of a heart and a baby.
Curtis opened up about his new life as a dad in a post-match interview after the victory. He said: “It’s the best thing ever, I’m playing with a smile on my face. It’s a different type of joy.
“I was in the spare room (last night)! But she’s a little dream, she wants a feed and change and back asleep. So I wouldn’t have missed much sleep anyway. But I thought it was wise (to sleep in the spare room). So I had some energy. Sorry dads around the world!”
