Christine McGuinness has shared one thing she “never” discusses with husband Paddy and offered insight into her current relationship status. In a recent interview, Christine opened up about her family life and the dynamic she shares with her former partner, Paddy McGuinness, with whom she co-parents their three children.
The Real Housewives of Cheshire star, who last month was preparing to launch a new business after filing papers with the Intellectual Property Office, was asked if Paddy was proud of her for tackling new challenges. Christine told Woman’s Own magazine: “I don’t know because we never discuss work, so I’m not sure how he feels. We’re both keeping busy, and all we want is what’s best for our children.”
She went on to reveal her New Year’s resolutions, explaining that she aims to “believe” in herself and added that everyone has “self-doubt”. However, she also provided insight into her dating life. Christine said: “To try and believe in myself. I think everybody has self-doubt, especially when you’re a mum, and you’ve spent most of your life and your time dedicating it to motherhood and being at home.

“When you step out on your own, you want a career – or suddenly you’re single like me in your 30s – then you need to find yourself again and who you are.” The ex-couple continue to live in the same house despite splitting up in 2022 after 11 years of marriage, with fans currently tuning into Paddy on BBC Radio 2.
It was reported last month that Christine had filed the papers to trademark the name Goddess by Christine McGuinness, reports The Sun. Yet, it wouldn’t be the first time that Christine has struck out into the world of business, having previously launched a fitness clothing range known as VIBE By Christine, which featured leggings and tops, as well as another brand dubbed Lifestyle by Christine McGuinness.
The Mirror reports that Christine now has a “busy dating diary” after starting dating again this year, although she admitted that she “delayed it” and “wasn’t in any rush at all”. However, she went on to say that it “just kind of happened” and revealed that she met somebody on her birthday.
When asked what she learned, Christine said: “That I’m completely different when I’m comfortable around someone, and I’ve learnt that the nervous feeling I used to carry – that kind of anxiety – is a physical feeling, which I didn’t realise. Yet when you stop feeling that and you are comfortable in your environment, it’s not there any more. I thought that was part of my autism – that walking on eggshells feeling. I haven’t got that any more.”
Paddy McGuinness presents Inside the Christmas Factory at 6.30pm this evening (Sunday, December 22) on BBC One.
