Senator Sheldon Whitehouse (D-RI) is calling on his colleagues to develop a “battle strategy” against Republican “attacks”, as the Democrats to select a new party chair, according to Politico.Following Vice President Kamala Harris’ loss to President-elect Donald Trump — in addition to a slew of Democratic House and Senate race losses — Politico reports the Rhode Island lawmaker argues the party needs an “institutional and centralized setup to attack the GOP, writing Republicans ‘rapidly and effectively deploy false narratives, while we struggle to bring true ones to bear.'”To fight back against the right-wing lawmakers, Whitehouse wrote in a letter to party chairs on Monday that building a “war machine” is the only way.
