The former editor of The Guardian has issued an expletive-laden response to Donald Trump’s election victory. Following the Republican’s victory speech this morning, Alan Rusbridger took to social media, writing: “On such days the immortal words in 2002 of former Whitehall permanent secretary Sir Richard Mottram re-echo down the ages: “We’re all f***ed. I’m f***ed. You’re f***ed. We’re all completely f***ed.”The chaos stemmed from an email resurfacing from 2001, which revealed special adviser Jo Moore encouraging civil servants to use the tragic event of September 11 as a way to “bury” negative news.
