Kevin Franke, the husband of Ruby Franke, a well-known YouTube personality famous for her parenting advice channel “Eight Passengers,” has officially filed for divorce. The “Eight Passengers” channel, which Ruby ran alongside Kevin, was notably successful, amassing over 2 million subscribers at its height.
The couple previously faced public scrutiny in 2020 following a controversial video where their son Chad disclosed he had been sleeping on a beanbag for seven months as his bedroom was taken away. This incident led to significant criticism of Ruby and Kevin Franke’s parenting methods.
The situation escalated in August when Ruby Franke and her business partner Jodi Hildebrandt were arrested on six counts of child abuse. The charges came after Franke’s 12-year-old son escaped from Hildebrandt’s home and was found malnourished. Additionally, Franke’s 10-year-old daughter was also discovered at the home in a similar malnourished condition.
