Pop legend Cher faces allegations of arranging the abduction of her son, Elijah Blue Allman, from a New York hotel last year during his wedding anniversary.
Marieangela King, wife to Allman, details in recent Los Angeles Superior Court documents that they were in the hotel mending their relationship after initiating divorce proceedings in 2021. She states, “During our stay, on our anniversary night, 30th November 2022, four individuals unexpectedly arrived at our hotel room and escorted Elijah away.”
Ms. King claims one of these individuals divulged that they were acting on behalf of Cher, Allman’s mother. The court declaration, dated December 2022, also mentions Mr. Allman had been under medical care since August of that year, but his specific location remained undisclosed to Ms. King.
Marieangela expressed deep concerns in December about her husband’s safety, admitting she was “unsettled and anxious regarding his current condition.”
Elijah Blue Allman, now 47, is the offspring of music superstar Cher and the renowned late rock artist, Gregg Allman. He tied the knot with UK-native Marieangela King in 2013, both of whom share a passion for music. Past interviews, such as a 2014 chat with Entertainment Tonight, reveal Allman’s battles with substance abuse starting as early as age 11.
