Russell Brand, the well-known comedian and actor, has been accused of rape, sexual assaults, and emotional abuse by four women in an investigation by The Sunday Times and Channel 4 Dispatches. These allegations cover incidents from 2006 to 2013 during the height of his fame.
Brand has vehemently denied these “very serious criminal allegations” in a YouTube video titled “So, This is Happening.” He asserts that he “absolutely refutes” these accusations, especially those pertaining to the time when he was working in the mainstream.
The women who have come forward with allegations include one who claims she was 16 when she began a relationship with Brand, another who alleges rape at his Los Angeles home, a third who says she was sexually assaulted at his West Hollywood home, and a fourth who experienced physical and emotional abuse. A female comedian also revealed being “grabbed” and “bitten” in the face by Brand at a gig in the early 2000s.
