Kiefer’s New Song Dreamer Out Now

“Dreamer,” Kiefer’s new song, is out now. The L.A.-based artist has returned to his roots, playing keys and making beats, after working on several live band projects. Dreamer” was inspired by Kiefer’s optimism, which he describes as a pillar of his personality. He states, ” I’m an optimist, an idealist, and a person who wishes for possibilities.

Since his introduction LP Kickinit Alone, Kiefer Shackelford has become inseparable from a scene of specialists whose music draws on and circles around jazz without fitting conveniently into a solitary classification. That scene incorporates a portion of Kiefer’s nearby colleagues Carrtoons and Theo Croker, while his unique piano playing and creation have been pursued by stars from Drake to Anderson .Paak – with Kiefer winning a Grammy Grant for his work with the last option.

The track “Dreamer” is the first taste from a forthcoming album. “Dreamer” shows Kiefer turning his attention inward, whereas his previous album, When There’s Love Around, was a live band record that paid tribute to his closest friends and family. Nevertheless, “Dreamer” possesses the characteristics of Kiefer’s mature aesthetic: The masterful playing has warm, hefty beats, a spirited melody, and a lighthearted feel to it. It’s as if the piano is an extension of Kiefer himself.
