Jamie Foxx, the renowned actor, is in the process of recuperating after spending time in the hospital, according to an update shared by his daughter, Corinne Foxx, on Instagram.
In her post on Friday, Corinne Foxx revealed that her father has been out of the hospital for “weeks” and even engaged in some pickleball recently. She expressed gratitude for the prayers and support received during this time.
The 55-year-old actor had recently been admitted to the hospital due to a medical complication. Earlier this month, Foxx himself took to social media, expressing his appreciation for the love and blessings he had received.
Corinne Foxx initially shared the news of her father’s hospitalization on April 12th, although she did not disclose the specific reason for his medical care. She did, however, mention that due to prompt action and excellent care, he was already on the path to recovery.
Reports indicate that Foxx was hospitalized in Atlanta, Georgia, while filming the Netflix movie “Back In Action” alongside Cameron Diaz. The incident did not occur on set, and he was not transported to the hospital in an emergency vehicle. It was also reported that Foxx underwent testing during his time at the Atlanta hospital.
The exact date of Foxx’s release from the hospital remains unclear.
Several celebrities, including Vin Diesel and Jeremy Renner, have expressed their support and admiration for the Oscar winner as he continues his recovery. In a recent podcast, Foxx’s friend Kevin Hart noted significant progress in his recuperation.
Jamie Foxx received critical acclaim and won an Oscar for his portrayal of musician Ray Charles in the 2004 film “Ray.” He was also nominated for Best Supporting Actor that same year for his role in “Collateral.” Foxx’s filmography includes notable works such as “Baby Driver,” “Annie,” and “The Amazing Spider-Man 2.”
