President explodes at ‘Trump hating loser’ calling out his economy on Fox

President Donald Trump did not take kindly to the critique of a financial guru roasting his economy on Fox News.The New Republic reports Trump’s cherished Fox & Friends show on Saturday hosted Peter Schiff, a stockbroker and financial commentator who took Trump to task over the economy that is putting Republicans on edge and threatening their grip on the House and Senate in the 2026 midterms.Schiff criticized Trump for failing to acknowledge the nation’s mounting inflation, job losses, and affordability issues. Furious, Trump took to Truth Social that same morning, calling Schiff a “Trump hating loser” and dragging show producers for arranging Schiff to be on the show.“Either the show made a mistake, or it is heading in a different direction,” Trump wrote, and he urged staff to look into “the ‘booker’ who put this jerk on!”Trump railed at Schiff for claiming prices are going up “when, in fact, they are coming substantially down,” in spite surveys showing Americans still furious at high prices for groceries and goods. Trump also repeated his claim that “gasoline hit $1.99 a gallon yesterday, in certain states. … [and] Other prices are almost all down.”Schiff, noting Trump’s Truth Social meltdown, responded in kind on X, saying “Biden had a lot of help in causing the ‘affordability crisis,’ including from Trump during his first term, and he’s not fixing it, he’s making it worse.”“Given how much Trump hates the truth, I think he should change the name of his social media platform to Lie Social,” Schiff added in a follow-up post. He also admitted that he did not recall Trump ever calling him out directly on social media before.While Trump claims times are great, economists on Wednesday expressed significant concerns after new data estimated that the U.S. economy lost 32,000 jobs last month. This number falls in line with Americans telling pollsters that the sour economy and slumping wages are at the top of their list in political concerns.Republicans, meanwhile, are terrified of what the rotten economy might do to their dominance in the House and Senate, particularly with a new poll from Politico showing nearly half of respondents, saying the cost of living was currently worse than they could ever remember it being.
