Injured evacuees from Gaza have entered Egypt via the Rafah crossing, following a trilateral agreement brokered by Qatar involving Egypt, Israel, and Hamas. This agreement aims to facilitate the exit of foreign and dual nationals currently stranded in Gaza.
The Palestinian General Authority for Crossing and Borders has issued a list of over 500 individuals eligible to depart through the crossing today. The exact nationalities of these individuals are yet to be confirmed.
Confirmed reports, backed by video from Egyptian state TV, show injured individuals being transported in ambulances from the Gaza Strip across the border. In response, Egypt’s health ministry plans to admit over 80 injured Palestinians for medical treatment. A field hospital has been set up in a nearby Egyptian town to accommodate the incoming patients.
