A devastating attack, suspected to be from Russian forces, resulted in the deaths of 49 individuals, encompassing a six-year-old boy, during a memorial service at a cafe in the village of Hroza, northeastern Ukraine. The incident transpired on Thursday and was reported by Ukraine’s interior minister.
Oleh Synehubov, the regional governor, detailed that the attack occurred in the early afternoon, targeting both a cafe and a shop in Hroza, situated in the Kharkiv region. He revealed that numerous civilians had been present during the strike.
Interior Minister Ihor Klymenko shared a heart-wrenching insight, explaining that the small village, which has approximately 330 residents, had been conducting a memorial service in the targeted cafe. Addressing Ukrainian television, Klymenko remarked, “Every family, every household had members in attendance during this event. It’s a horrific tragedy.”
