Cristiano Ronaldo has achieved a remarkable milestone by becoming the first player to score 850 goals in official matches throughout his career, according to Anadolu reports. Ronaldo set a new record during the match between Al Hazm and Al Nassr in the fifth round of the Saudi Arabian First Football League.
In this game, the 38-year-old Ronaldo scored the fourth goal for Al Nassr in their 5-1 victory, further increasing his total goals for both his club and national team career to 850. Argentina’s Lionel Messi, with 818 goals, is the second-highest scorer in the all-time list.
During Al-Nassr’s 5-1 win over Al-Hazem in the Saudi Pro League on Saturday, Ronaldo not only scored but also assisted in two other goals. This achievement made the Portuguese player the first in the history of the sport to reach 850 official career goals.
“850 career goals and we’re moving on!” wrote the 38-year-old on his social network. This goal also marked his sixth in the last three games. Ronaldo currently leads the league’s top scorer list this season with six goals, one ahead of former Liverpool striker Sadio Mané, who also contributed to the win against Al-Hazem.
To break down his impressive goal tally, Ronaldo has scored 123 goals for the national team, 450 for Real Madrid, 145 for Manchester United, 101 for Juventus, five for Sporting Lisbon, and 26 for Al Nassr. Notably, Al Nassr, who initially faced two consecutive defeats, has won their last three matches, all of which Ronaldo played a pivotal role in by scoring six goals, allowing them to climb to sixth place in the league table, with Ronaldo leading the scorers’ list.
